Is a 100 Gal. tank...

to big for a 2 1/4" turt? i have the type thats longer rather than higher and i need to know if this is to much for my turt

Sounds like that turtle will be happy in there, how high is high?

You may want to make sure you have some plants and other things for the turtle to rest on.. but no it's not too much. Bigger is better and you won't have to upgrade again

Your lucky turt has a good keeper. Bigger is better, and longer is better than higher. You'll be saving money in the long run by going bigger now.

well to answer your question steve the tank is about 12 inches high and im not sure about the length but its so long i cant close the door to my room all the way. i stocked the tank with empty clay planters, fake plants, some gravel, a cool rock cave that i made, and a new basking dock then there was the expense of a filter for a 300 gal. tank, NOT CHEAP. also he/she seems to have grown ever since i put him/her in the new tank. my turt looks so happy. i will try to post a pic if i can get my cam. to work.

if you want I will trade you my 55g.................................I didn't think you would go for it either. He will be very happy in there
