Well I found a school that has hatchlings up for adoption in my area so Im picking up two RES this weekend. I have a 90 Gallon tank, Im making an order of DR Foster Smith tonight and getting this stuff shipped next day air so I can have the tank all set up for the babies. Here is a list of what Im getting. Can anyone think of anything else I would need?

It's so nice to see someone who is prepared for their little ones.. :) With a tank that size make sure some of the plants are near the top so they have something to cling to and rest on. It will take them a bit of time to be able to handle really deep water. You may want to start out with the water level a bit lower and slowly increase it, which is another option.. :)

Can't wait to see pictures.. :)

Oh, what size dock did you get? I'd suggest the large so you don't have to upgrade.

I actually got the Small Dock since I want to upgrade to a different kind of basking area later. Some of the plants I got are the floating type that the turts can use to hide on the surface.

The list is good. BTW, Bigalsonline.com has a free shipping offer right now. The prices are sometimes cheaper than DrsFosterSmith. DrsFosterSmith does have outstanding customer service though. I would probably get 2 heaters instead of 1, though thats just an opinion. You might want to add a non-digital thermometer (I like the sticky types). I can't comment on the light setup, but it sounds good. Add in some river rocks, my RES love to push them around.

Do you happen to know the brand of that titanium heater? If it happens to be a Via Aqua (or similar name), I would look at something else...Otherwise, you list sounds good. :)

I use this for mine and it doesnt sink under their weight...those babies will get bigger and the dock will sink. The Turtle Ramp, the LARGE one...can h old all four of my 3.5-4.5" RES...without sinking.

Big Al's is cheper on teh XP3 it's like $99...woohoo, its on sale $95! GRAB IT!!! http://www.bigalsonline.com/catalog/pro ... d1=;pcid2=

Thanks for all the input, I'm planning on changing my basking area within a year after Im able to go find some rocks I like so the turtle dock I got should work fine for now. I got everything order between big als and Dr Foster and should get it all next week. I will post some pics when I get it all set up. I had to post pone picking up the turtles a week because I couldnt afford the express shipping for some items.

That Big Als place does have some cheap prices.
