Hi,
Try to figure a name that is good for either boy or girl, you won't be able to tell the sex till they are about 4".
Peace love & light

Welcome to the site. Watch your turtle and see if there isn't something about the appearance or behavior that doesn't suggest a name. I didn't name my RES until I had had him a month.

I'd just observe it and check for physical characteristics or behavior before picking out a name. I don't really think there's going to be any harm in waiting, I mean it's not like it's going to come to you when you call it's name like a dog would. :)

pick a favorite charactor in a movie or book but wait , like Cam722 says until the personality emerges. Is he/she shy, bold or a clown ?
Good luck and let us know !
Post pictures !

You can't tell with any certainty until the shell length (not including the curve) is around 4 inches.

You could always name your turtle after a musician/something related to music. :)
