I have never price matched at stores and was wondering if stores price match with online stores. Like if you find something at big als and try to get petsmart to match, will they? I have been looking into getting a canister filter and want a good price. I found a store that has the new fluval 405 for $129 but online i found a xp3 for $94. Also been trying craigslist for used ones but Columbus seems to sell very little through that site. I want to save the money and just wanted some advice from the experts.

I don't think they'll do it with other online stores other than their own. There are some petsmarts that won't even do it for their own online stores, so I'm sure they'd not do it for another stores price. I mean it wouldn't hurt to ask but I wouldn't expect any miracles.

There was a really nice manager at the Petsmart near me who would pricematch online stores' prices (this was great for UVB lights). However, he mysteriously disappeared and the manager that took his place is adamant that Petsmart will only match its on-line prices and those of local competitors (which here is Petco, which is usually more expensive).

i had same exact experience to the letter marissa. They price matched big als online for the fluval canister (saved mad $$). but then they wouldnt do it again when the manager dissapeared
