I'm trying to get a good pic for my avatar. I have an instant camera and the pictures look blurry when done. What camera do you guys use to take the clear pics you get? Digital, instant......?

I use a digital camera. That way if I don't like the pic I can just delete it right then. I would look for a camera that has a macro mode as well (one of the little flower icons). Also, the higher the pixel rating the better...I think mines a 6.something. I think they are up to the 7 somethings now, so you should be able to get a decent 6 megapixel for a good price.

I wouldn't trade my digital camera now that I'm used to it (except maybe for a better digital camera

). They are very nice and convenient to have. Well, worth buying a good one.

Most places will offer a CDROM of your pictures if you drop off regular film. However, the costs of regular film developing is still expensive and you would be much happier with a digicam. Plus, you could probably find a used one (from a good brand like Canon, Olympus, Fuji) very cheaply to get started.

Digital camera....Canon Powershot s3is model. It is their newest model & so far I have been *very* happy with the results!!!!
Good thing with digital is you can really practice taking photos till you get a good one. If the pics don't turn out, you just delete them, no cost to you except batteries!
I just got tired of taking photos with disposables. Nowadays it is soooooo expensive to constantly process film, only to find out that 1/2 the photos are blurry or didn't turn out well.

The S3is is a very nice camera (I'm considering it as my next one)... I still have my 4 year old PowerShot G2. Still works well after thousands of pics

Heard about those digital cameras with the no-blur feature on television. Dunno, maybe getiing a digital camera soon, I think there are really old ones at Goodwill now
