More of a fish thing

Ok so I bought to long tailed barbs yesterday, males. And one died today. He didn't have any signs of a disease, and he was wedged between a rock and the tank wall when I came home (so he wasn't floating) and it looked like someone had ripped off a good part of his tail fin.

I checked the fish after I took him out, saw no signs of a fungal disease or ick or anything like that. And when I flushed him down the toliet, he floated in the water.

Is it safe to assume that he died from getting stuck between the rock and tank wall and when he was trying to get out, the turtle bit his fin off?

I'm hoping to clean the tank Friday when I have some time from work cause lately when I come home it's late and I don't have time. Let me know if you all think the same. Thanks.

wait, so you had the fish in the tank with your turtle??

keep in mind, anything you put in with the turtle is potential food. the turtle could have trapped him in there or bit him before he was trapped.
i'd take the other one out..

The other one just died. The turtle bit his fins off as well when I cleaned his tank. I don't know why he did this as I bought the same type of fish that is already in his tank (which he has never bothered those) and now he just destroyed 12 dollars worth of fish. I wish he would have eaten them for that price and for what he did to them. He's just such a mean aggressive turtle that I don't understand it. I wish he would eat those snails though.
