Hi, I'm new here but have done tons of reading the past few days. I've been trying to determine the sex of my 3 res and finally found a site with pictures that helped tremendously. I knew the criteria but it was just helpful to "see" an example. I've determined I have 1 girl and 2 boys.

I think my 3 turts are too small to determine what sex they are.

Is it ok to trim my turtle's nails when they grow longer.

Male turtles have long nails for a reason, and they shouldn't be cut. If you're getting scratched when you pick him up, use a towel.
There's a vein in the nail of the turtle, and there's the chance of cutting it, and your turtle will bleed. I'd leave the nails alone.
