I don't think there are lots of midwesterners on here, but those who are, there is an expo on the 22nd in Omaha. I am excited to be going, particularly because they have made it very clear that only breeders who exclusively deal with captive bred animals have been invited. Here's a link.

we someimes have those in NC. however, none of the really good reptiles come to the expo. we still are scared little wussies. Mainly our "reptile expo" is spiders and frogs. the occasional lizard and snake will pop out but other than that....nuthin!

Ferd, how far are you from Charlotte? Looks like there's a big International Reptile Show there on July 21-22, http://www.repticon.com/charlotte/ . There's also one in Spartanburg, SC in April, http://www.repticon.com/. Looks like they'll have hot herps (venomous) too! I would love to go to one of those. The closest hot herp show to me is in Hamburg, PA, about an 8 hour drive.

I'm excited! There will be snakes, turtles, and beardies there for sure, because one of the breeders in Des Moines is bringing some of each. He has a RES that is 27, named Cletus, although it's a girl, who is 11 inches long and 5 pounds. She is very freindly too! The spokesturtle for his critters I think! He also has a couple of big ball pythons that are very docile and I hope he brings skinks too, but he didn't say for sure on them. I am a little over excited by the whole thing!

Very cool! I love it when we have our local Reptile Shows here too. There's usually over 100 vendors and breeders with lots of different reptiles and amphibians to see. Lots of plants and supplies too.
