I was wondering if this would be suitable for the basking light

And if so, would I need any other light bulbs?
Thanks

That's a great bulb - top of the line. And it's an all-in-one. You don't need any other light bulb unless you've got a really bigtank and just want to illuminate the other end. Be sure and get a good fixture for it - it needs a ceramic fixture rated for it's wattage (100 watts) and check the temperature at the basking area carefully to make sure it's not too hot. If it's too hot, just move it back further. Don't put the bulb any closer than 12 inches from the turtle and point it straight down at the basking area as much as possible.

That's a good price too.

By the way, did you mean to post this in the equipment section of the forum, or were you thinking of it for something other than an aquatic turtle?

Thanks for the info, yeah I just found out that I posted it in the wrong section. Was wondering why I couldn't find this topic.
