I was told that you shouldn't handle a baby res a lot, because it can cause it a lot of stress, which could lead to sickeness or other things and even death. Is this true? I have been picking up my baby at least once a day since I got her last week to check out her shell and just see how shes doing....

most people satg not to handle them too often, especially when they're young. Mine is about a year and he loves when I pick him up and rub his head. I wouldn't handle a hatchling a lot, because it is stressful, and when you do pick it up, let it back in the water when it wants to go back in (usually immediately)--unless you're checking up on its health.

I do a health check about once a week. A hatchling definetly should not be handled daily. It is stressful for the lil guy.
