Simply put, don't. It'll cause more harm then good.

That simplifies things!
If your turtle scratches you when you have to pick him up, you can use a towel to protect yourself. Be sure and always pick them up and hold them by their shells with a firm grip (you don't to drop them!).

i dont think you need to worrie about cliping his/her nails.
im not going to.
it could cause a few problems.(i think)

No need to cut the nails. The nails stop growing once they reach the length they are supposed to. Males have very long front nails. Females have much shorter nails. It's just nature.
