Posted: Sun May 06, 2007 11:45 pmPut them in a rubbermaid tub with some cardboard for them to climb on, a shallow dish of water filled with cotton balls (so they don't drown), and some oatmeal, crushed turtle pellets and leftover veggies. You'll probably need to cover the top with a screen or else cut a hole in the middle of the lid and keep the lid on since the baby crickets are good at climbing even plastic walls. They will grow to adult size within 2 weeks. Just make sure they have some moisture when they are that small (maybe lightly mist them with a spray bottle, but not too much or they'll get fungus and die).

Posted: Mon May 07, 2007 12:07 pmIf you keep so many crickets in such a small space, they'll start to fight and become canibals and start to destroy each other. I've used moistened natural sponges to provide moisture, and there are some products you can buy that will provide nutrients as well as moisture (they can't drown).

ha ha! don't like crickets eh? I used to think they were creepy at first (I absolutely can't stand spiders). But I've gotten really used to them now. I have to, seeing as how I've been through close to 100,000 of them over the past 4 years!

Posted: Sat May 19, 2007 8:35 pmI just had about 50 of them on me. I was changing their substrate, and they hopped on me. I think I did very well. I ran schreeching across the patio and dunked my arms in the turtle's stock tank. They were very happy with me.
