Hi, I'm new to these boards and feel fortunate that i found this forum.

I have two baby RES turtles in need of adoption.

Recently i purchased two baby RES turtles locally. The individual i bought them from had quite a few of these little guys in plastic cages with water. I was just about to leave the location, but felt so bad for the little guys, i felt that i should purchase two of them since it didnt seem like anyone else was buying them.

The quick story is that, I didn't want them to die there, and thought taking care of turtles would be like taking care of a gold fish, but after scouring about on this forum I've quickly discovered that caring for these guys takes a great deal of dedication and knowledge.

I want them to have the best possible home with a lot of love and care. They're quite adorable and appear to be healthy. One is very active and the other is more reserved.

I live in the Los Angeles area if anyone is willing to adopt them.

Just leave me a message.

I hope you can find someone soon.

If you get stuck you might see if there's a rescue organization that could take them in. Here's a link to a bunch of good organizations. Maybe there's one in your area:

Try the California Turtle and Tortoise Club http://www.tortoise.org/cttc/adoption.html

You might also contact the California Turtle and Tortoise Society www.turtlesociety.org
