Hi all!
I haven't been on in a while! But, I recently was given a land turtle. I'm only familiar with aquatic turts, so I need help identifying this one, so I can then start working on her habitat, the one she was given to me with isn't too hot. Please let me know if you need more pics or any questions. I really appreciate it!!!!

I think it's an eastern box turtle... those nails probably need to be checked out too.

Thanks Diamonback! And Thanks Steve! What do you mean about the claws? Should they be clipped? Also need help on what type of stubstrate she would need, everything I read says "sandy soil", not sure what product offers that.

The claws look overgrown to me, though this obviously isn'y my area. Land turtles usually don't have long claws since the walk a lot.

Not my area either! I'm still learning with her! Thanks guys, I will research the claw situation!! She's doing great, she loves her new setup, poor thing soaked for HOURS when she saw her "pool". She had been living for 2 years with previous owners, with a TINY lightweight water dish :( and she's semi aquatic....but she is HAPPY NOW! :msgreen:
