i just wanted to introduce myself and my little man gustav. i adopted him about 2 months ago from craigslist. he is 3 yrs old, lived his whole life in a ten gallon with no heat lamp, uv, filter or veggies. we saw the turtle doc and he seems to be okay. i'm so gratefull to have turtle talk...you guys all rock!

Welcome. :) So now that you're here, Gustav has/will be getting a much better home. Show us what he looks like sometime.

And yes, yes, yes to the subject of your post! :D

I was hesitant to click on the link because of how he was living but Gustav looks great for a turt that was so badly neglected!

Welcome to the forum... :) So glad you are making a good home to your guy (or gal) now. If you ever have any questions just ask.

Gustav looks like a she to me too, but I'm sure not an expert. :)

I didn't think the length of the tail mattered as much as the placement of the cloaca... but hey, I could be wrong.... :D
