Actually now that I’m looking harder the white blotches do look a little smaller...?

This is the Chlorhexidine - only treatment? If thats the only treatment, it could be awhile to see any improvements if any. Hopefully there is progress!

Yes it is. I haven’t had the chance to pick anything up and I’m now rather skeptical about iodine and Triple antibiotic cream after our last conversation. But I do feel there is improvement. Small but it’s helping.

Yesterday while I was in town I found that product betadine and hibiclens in the pharmacy aisle. I decided to use hibiclens since that’s basically the same thing the Vet “prescribed” him. I had ran out of the original cleanse. Interesting how the prescribed was blue tint and this over the counter stuff is red. I’m not diluting this stuff. But here is an update on the shell. Definitely seeing more colors of browns. He’s still being dry docked.

I haven't used the prescribed stuff but the Hibiclens can make the turtle very slippery, so either you have a good grip or your turtle is well behaved :) . The main spots to see if it is working is on the fresh layers of scute. If you look closely, it might have a "fuzzy" appearance.

I’ll take a look first thing in the morning. Yes it’s pretty slippery. Surprisingly the turtle is extremely well behaved and honestly half the time I feel like he pokes his head out to check what I’m doing haha. He’s done a couple little kicks with his back legs but how I hold him he never has a good enough kick.

I would get really deep scratches from holding them for more than a few minutes. For treatment, I would scrub, then rinse them, then dry dock them. For Betadine, I would scrub but leave it on.

Ouch. Gotcha. Checked the shell and does not appear to be a fuzzy look to the shell.

You might have to take a high-resolution picture and zoom in, at least that the way I did it. Taking progress pics helps as well!
