Hello and thanks in advance for any info would be much appreciated. My 12 year old melanistic RES has a pink tinge on his back legs when he basks in a certain position. My vet saw him a year and a half ago when he was available in this area. TRex lives in an outdoor pond with circulating water via a pump and filter. I do WC every 6 or 7 days, clean filter and add dechlorinator. He has been in the pond around 10 years now. He has companion fish, which he has been eating and is now overweight, I know, I'm working on it, lol. He has a high-protein diet and he eats natural algae, cukes, romaine lettuce and lately has refused pellets, his diet has always been challenging. Does it look like he has septicemia? My vet is not going to be here for a few more months, and I'd have to take him on a long drive to go to a new one.

I don't think so but is this a new development? Has there been any water quality/filtration change?
