General Care Discussion :: not shedding scutes!!

ive had my 2 turtles for about a year now, they are both about 4.5".

ive noticed that over the year that i have had them they have never shedded
scutes once!?!!?

i would like to help them shed by maybe scrubing it of with a brush of some sort.

but when ever i try to take them out of the water, they struggle like crazy.

they will scartch and bite..

what should i do????????????

Not all turts shed at the same time/age. Don't "help" them, since you could injure their shells. Bring them to the vet if you think you have cause for concern.

I've also had my turtles about a year. They have never shed, nor do they look like they are going to soon. I'm not worried about it, so I wouldn't worry if I were you.
