Has anyone else ever seen this, when he is laying out he or she takes one of his back legs and streches it up. It looks like it would hurt but thats how he like to take his naps?

Yes, this is normal. Some call it the "Superman Pose" if both legs are out. He's stretching to get the warmth. :)

You don't think that's cute? My RES will sometimes twist his legs (swear he's double jointed) so that the bottoms are turned up to get the heat. Now, that's goofy. :)

I agree, I always see sQuirtle doing crazy yoga poses while basking, especially cobra a.k.a. superman pose.. he's so cute!! lol
