Can i takes my buddies 1 yearold ish box turtles and put it with my 3 year old RES????? Hes want to get rid of his turtle and he has a tank fully of crazy fish hed feed it too.

RES are aquatic and box turtles are not...no.

How big is the map turtle, and how big is your tank?

the map turtles is about 4 inch and my res is about double his size my take is current a 60 gal tank, and a prformed garden pond i switch em up between
The garden pond i keep near my balcony so i can open doors for frsh light and air

I think your tank is too small for two turtles, and I also wouldn't recommend putting them together because of the size difference. Res's are more territorial, and the smaller map might get hurt (purposely OR accidentally). Maps require VERY CLEAN water and are more sensitive to water changes. I have both species, and housed them together in the beginning, but the res's are already much bigger than the map. How big is your pond? I would LOVE to have one... :wink:

i know there is a spiecies of florida box turtle that is aquatic but not ones farther up north
