THeLoCust, the cleanser that David mentioned is very good - Hibiclense. It will help with both fungus and bacteria. Those white spots do look rather alarming. You should tend to them right away. With a soap like Hibiclense, so sure and rinse it off very thoroughly as it will be irritating if left on.

A common cause of shell problems is not basking enough. The shell needs to dry off completely at frequently intervals - both top and bottom. Is your turtle basking regularly?

Not to be rude, but THeLoCust, I find your avatar so disturbing it's difficult to read your posts.

Fortunately I can't really tell what the heck it's supposed to be, but it looks like it could be pretty messed up so i just don't look too closely at it. But yea, if it is as messed up as I think it is, for everybody else's sake, please change it. There are small kids that come on these forums sometimes as well as others who don't like to dwell on the grotesque or obscene.
