I have 2 baby RES one is active swimming around, and basking all the time. The other stays under his turtle dock all day and seems to be sleeping, however when i feed them he will come out to eat. Is there something wrong with him? Thanks.

How long have you had them? Usually they can be very shy when first introduced into their new home. Sometimes it can take several days for them to get used to it. It's good that they are both eating. Take a look at the health section on this website (you can get to it by the links at the top of this page) and keep an eye out for any other symptoms that might indicate something else is wrong (like puffy or swollen eyes, lopsided swimming, etc). Baby RES can be very delicate and many are sold sick because of the conditions they were being kept in. It depends on where you got them from. Hopefully yours is just being shy. Keep us posted.

And welcome to the forum! :)

Babies take time to adjust
Up to two months
Eating is a good sign
When they get introduced to a new invironment they act a little skitish and scared
Keep an eye out for anythoer symtoms of illnesses.

Is there enough room on the dock? What is the temp? Some turtles have different preferences on the temperatures.

What about the basking area? It should be roughly 10 degrees warmer to entice them to bask.
