I see that my res has it's hind legs peeling and flaking off, like as if glue dried on your skin and you peeled it off. I only read about shells shedding, but is my turtle's legs shedding?

His leg isnt peeling off
Its his skin
Skin shedding is mainly due to high water temperatures.
Water needs to be temperature controlled and the preferred range is 78-80 degrees F for hatchlings and 75-78 degrees F for adults.

Yup, they're skin sheds too. He should be able to get it all off himself as long as his temps are right and he basks.

Its not always because of warm temps, sometimes your turtle is just growing. :D

I wanted to make sure his temps are right because if they werent then that could be the cause
But if its excessive shedding then it can also be due to high protein diets, inadequate basking and fast growth.

No, I'm pretty sure the temp is right and he's starting to eat plants along with his pellets now.
