is it true that the water from the tap is not suitable for the turtles(because of chloride elements)?do we have to buy bottled water for the tank or add some anti-chloride in the tap's water?

You can use a dechlorinator (ReptiSafe) or any other brand made for fish. Bottled water can be costly and is really not necessary.

I never use bottled water, just add some antuchlorine for reps or tropical fishes

so i can understand that the only purpose is to avoid chloride elements and there is nothing else in regular tap's water that is not suitable for the turtles.. i will search for it in the pet shops or buy it on-line...thanks for your help!

In most cases, chlorine treated tap is OK. You'd want to use a conditioner if you have bio-media in your filter to help preserve the beneficial bacteria.

ok i have a question i have two RES hatchlings and.....i had boughten them wardley reptile premium sticks but the catch is...they wont eat it...they havent eaten it since i got them about 2 weeks ago im so sad:( the sticks have the vit D3 and the calcium they need for thir shells but they refuse the food..i even break it up small enuff for them to eat they swim to it and then swim away...so i went out and i bought turtle delite 100% dried whole shrimp i break it into small peices and feed them with that but i dont think they should be eathing that as food but more as a treat but i cant get them on the sticks what should i do im like stressing out...my b.f said they will eat it and not to put the shrimp in and if i do not much so they will eat the shrimo but the sticks also....im soo worried i dont want them to die of starvation also one other thing....is it tru they dont kno when to stop eating and they can eat themselves to death one of my friends said that ...im soo lost someone helpp....i read alot of the forums on here and i didnt see anyone wright the same problem plz help ....thanx
