Posted: Tue Nov 06, 2007 6:07 pmMight also be residue from hard water. Razor blade would work. Also, you can scrube with a plastic scrubber. Rubbing with white viniger might work.

Posted: Wed Nov 07, 2007 9:08 amI just fill up the tank over the white line & it eventually disappears. I never try to scrub it or anything.
The crusty white stuff is mineral deposits ("calcium") that is naturally occuring in the water (or comes from the cuttlebone you have in the tank). It's totally normal & not harmful to your turtle.
