I'm just curious, is there a way to tell the difference between aggression fluttering and mating fluttering?

Can't really tell except to some extent by the context.

It is difficult, but watch for the serious biting. More biting than fluttering is not the mating dance .

I heard that when the female and the male flutter back at each other it means aggression.

Also, would fluttering very frequently mean more of aggression than mating?

my 2 fluttered at each other , they grew up together from hatchlings now they are about 4 inches and 3 inches, and I have caught them mating, I try to stop them when I see them and I am in the process of setting up another tank, ( I don't know how tocare for babies and eggs) plus 2 is enough , they don't bite at each other just flutter and mate (
