Is it normal for turts to gnaw? Sushi is acting a little bit hyper recently and is gnawing on her dock and things really...any ideas?
Thanks

Do you have cuttlebone in there for her? She might be craving calcium. My turtle was trying to bite at everything then I gave her some cuttlebone and she attacked it instead.

Cuttlebone is usually found in the bird section of a store. Walmart has it for $1.

Cuttlebone is your best friend. Once you buy it, you need to remove the hard backing to it. Then, just find out how your turtle likes it. Mine loves to chase down head sized pieces floating at the top. Others prefer it well soaked in water. And others have a whole piece attached to the side of the tank with one of those clips so their turtle can pick at it as needed.

It often means they're lacking enough calcium in the diet. I fourth the cuttlebone.l
