I have noticed that my new hatchling chomper blows bubbles at me when hes hungry/happy... At first i thought he was sick or something but now i really just think that hes blowing bubbles - -

does anyone elses turtles do this?

yes, that is pretty normal. the little buggers get pretty excited when it is feeding time.

the bubble blowing that is a sign of RI is actually out of the water, when they blow mucus bubbles out of their nose.

If my turtles ever get spooked while they are in the water, they'll let a decent number of bubbles float to the top. I imagine that if they have vocal chords, they'd let a little scream escape.
