Can you post pictures? At least some more info would be needed to tell you anything about your problem. How recently did this happen? Is your turtle shedding scutes? Did you pick at any shedding scutes?

A lot of different things cause white on a turtle's shell. Shedding sometimes looks whitish. Hard water can result in mineral deposits on a shell which are white. Fungus or yeast infections are white.

In order to help you, we'll need to know more about it. I'd suggest doing a search on "white" and "shell" in the General Issues section and see if you can find some examples of shells that look like your turtle's. Then let us know.
