Okay the first time i saw monte do this was about 4 months ago i gave him a good chunk of a strawberry and it was floating at the top and he would go up to it and stretch his arms out as far as they can go like touching his eyes and his hand or palms will twitch and he kept doing it i hope i described that right i wish i could put video on here its hilarious and damn cute. it doesnt hurt him im sure but it looked almost like he was praising the strawberry haha..i was just curious if anyone has every seen there turtle do it.. he did it to a piece of banana once and i put my cigarette lighter up to his tank today and he did it again to my lighter ... i think its cute as hell i cant get enough of it...

Sounds like he's fluttering to me.

i just read a whole topic about !t !!! thats cute my turtle does it to food and things he hasnt seen before he did it to the thermometer when i first put it in...its cute....i love it!!

I think it's pretty cute too. Some turtles, like mine, flutter at rocks. I think Spot thinks one particular rock (it's black with yellow stripes) in his tank is his girlfriend. He flutters at "her" for hours, but she never responds. Sigh.

i think they do it if they like or dislike something..its adorable...

i like it when they flutter when i come home and check on them.
its almost like "dad!"

but really its like "food!"
