yes the day blue bulb is the heat light. the florescent uvb is for basking. i also forgot that someone in this forum told me to switch the uvb over the basking area and this eye thing happend after i did that. the bulb that is glowing blue is not the blue light its the uvb but it glows blue for some reason maybe cuz its florescent

the blue looking one needs to be on the oppisite side and the other one over the basking, i bought the same setup as you. and as it looks your tank doesnt have a heater if this is correct, your turtle has a slight cold and this could be fatal if u dont have a heater, closing of the eyes is a symptom of the cold, one of few.

if the blue is the UVB and the other one the heat, they BOTH need to be over the basking.

i have the same setup as him it all came together as a package, hes confused on where to put his lights but he has it backwards, also he has no heater which has caused this problem, if i am correct that he has no water heater.

yeah a heater is needed as soon as possible. but as for the basking area the heat bulb and the uvb bulb need to be over it.

Ok, thats your problem your turtles have a cold. When you get back i suggest you put it on 82 degrees, just untill he is better from his cold, then when he is better bring it back down to 75-80. also get a temperature strip which is 2$ i hope u see this before u leave!!! but yes from the picture please switch ur lights around or put them both over the basking area. i have this same setup and i know how the bulbs are suppose to be placed the blue one is not the basking or heat bulb but is good to be also half placed over basking area along with the (basking/heat bulb) the non blue one. any questions about that confusing statement pm me. and did you get that setup from pet boutique off garland rd.?
