Sassamo may be gravid

Today during the tank cleaning I felt marble sized lumps between her legs and tail. So I read that she needs atleast 12inches of dry dirt to lay them in. Now my question is how and where should I set this nesting box up at? I'm wondering if I can put some dirt in a rubber maid bin and try too set it at tank level(stacked milk crates maybe...) and open a section of the egg crate so she can go in there as she pleases. Outside is not an option, as we have already had frost. I noticed that she spent almost all day today basking and she's been digging around in the egg crate.

You check for eggs in the area in front of the hind legs toward the stomach, not between the back of the hind legs and tail. If you feel lumps in that area, then you can try the nesting set-up you're thinking of.

She has been showing signs of being gravid?

Marisa is exactly right; and your nesting area idea sounds just fine.

Thanks! I think I had the 1st time owning a turtle panic attack, I felt between the front of her back legs and felt nothing(couldn't get near the frount she likes too show me how big her mouth is...) I bet I was just feeling her hip/pelvic bones lol.
She has been basking more then usually, but that can be due too 2 factors, I moved her heat lamp so it now shines down into the basking area not across it and her shell is starting too shed :)
I also gave her sand 1 week ago so it's fun too dig and burry the large river stone she has in there :)
