hybernation

hi im wanting some advice when turtles go in to hybernation and how long there are in hybernation for?[/b]

its never a good idea for a captive turtle to go into hibernation.

Yeah,you don't want them to hibernate if they're captive.It's better for just wild turtles too.So,it's not really a good idea.(Sorry,no offense or anything.)

So, in reptiles, hibernation is called brumation. Unless your turtles are exclusively kept outside in a pond and there is no way to bring them in, it is not recommended. Even when kept outside, it's like playing Russian roulette. They sometimes just never wake up.

Why do you ask about hibernation?
