can my res eat a pleco

He can, but it's a rather expensive snack. What's more, plecos have spines that your turtle could choke on. In general, it's not recommended to feed your turtle plecos, although a few owners have had success keeping plecos with their RES.

I agree with BullDog.

First while they are cute they are pricy for turtle food , and your turt can eat them and get hurt or die from them.

Is there a reason you want a pleco ?

^ agreed, Pleco's aren't really the best at cleaning the tank either. I see them as fish that lay on the bottom of the tank, eating the fishes food and pooing. That's all mine does.
If you have a problem with alge the best way too get rid off it is too scrub it off :)
