So the turtle that has an R.I. i'm pretty sure is going to die ;\. I don't have the money/time to make a 45 minute trip to indy to go to the herp vet. It kind of just lays there...head and feet out not moving eyes closed etc. What should I do? I separated it from the other turtles

I'm sorry to hear that. All you can do at this point is keep him warm and comfortable, in a quiet place. Honestly, if the RI is that advanced there wouldn't be much chance of recovery even with a vet visit. Little turtles are very fragile. Keep an eye on the surviving turtles, make sure they have nice warm water (78-80 deg.) and make sure to keep the water very clean. If they start to show any signs of illness, take them to the vet right away. Again, i'm sorry about the little guy...just concentrate on keeping the other turts happy and healthy.

Yea I've kept a very close watch on the other turtles and they're doing just fine. I feed them separately to insure they get the amount of protein they need and the other turts don't eat more than one. They're water temp has stayed at 80-75 and I have a basking area with a normal house hold bulb(UVB bulb w/ clamp lamp will be purchased soon. As well as cuttlebone.
