Question about shedding and stuff stuck under it?

My painted turtle is shedding like crazy and I noticed one of the peices on top is taking a little longer. It's about 50% off however its still enough to have let a little water get stuck under there. It was a little green so I pulled the scale up a little and ran some warm tap water under it. It's not enough that I could fit a Qtip under it to clean or anything like that.

Is there anything else I should do??

Make sure to give him either a cuttlebone or a calcium suplement to make sure he's getting enough calcium to help him shed.

leave it be and let it shed by itself. its ok if algae gets stuck underneath... dont try to pull the scute off or clean it.

I'm trying how to get her to eat cuttlebone. She's seven now and I don't think she's ever eaten it. She only eats pellets right now.

Ideas?

try soaking it in some Tuna fish water for a couple of hours, a lot of times the smell will peak interest. Keep offering, eventually she will eat it. It took about 3 weeks of offering it to my turtle before he'd eat it.
