When I was stationed in Fort Irwin, CA. The water was terrible it had tons of minerals. I have a Black Trans Am and if the water had the slightest chance to dry it left terrible spots/deposits. So I bought one of these:

Well we're about to move from our town house into a real home that has a well. So I was thinking of buying one of these just to use for filling the turtles tanks. My tanks are filled to the top anyways so those white lines aren't really an issue for me.

Thoughts?

I'm not sure about major issues with well water, I know the topic has been discussed a few times. I'm not sure about the "Filter Rejuvenating Tablets" either, but there are filter media and water purification options as well.

I think the only problem with well water is just the calcium stains it can leave on your turtle and tank.

Well water can also make it hard to support fish in your tank...... The only good that seems to come out of it is that it makes it hard for my stuff to bacome as slimey so quickly.
