Yeah i was wondering i have a turtle about 2 inches and yesterday my friend didnt want his two baby turtle about half an inch. so i took it and put it in with my turtle now there all together. i was wondering how do i feed the baby turtles because when i drop food in they dont want to eat it and my turtles just gobbles them up like pacman. So how do i make them share so that later the baby turtles will probably eat?

feed them separately outside of the tank.

how big is your current turtles versus the 2 baby turtle?

make sure your existing turt doesn't eat the little turts... been known to do that.

Yes turtles can eat other turtles, may not kill it but can take out bites of shell, limbs.

Your turtles dont have that large of a difference but watch them closely because the small one might get nipped at maybe or by accident expecially if you feed them together.

em-92 You want your turtle to "share" Ha Ha; it ain't going to happen. They are little pigs and will eat each other. You are going to have to feed the smaller one by hand or in a seperate tank. "share" he he he. m.

turtles are territorial - i had to separate mine cuz my big turt was getting at the relatively smaller turt - and always would go after his neck or head.

the little one never defends himself.

so i had to separate once and for all.

Now you have 3 baby turtles right?
The new turtles are probley still stressed out form coming too your house. Give them some time, they will eat. What was your friend feeding them? Maybe if you get what they are use too eating they will eat. There is also a chance that they are ill. Do you have a different tank you can put them into?

How big is your current tank? 3 Turtles will need atleast a 200gallon tank when they are full grown.

At their current age they are too young to do any serious harm to each other, unless they fight every single day.

The larger turtle is going to hoard the food, and pretty soon, the littler turtle will get sick of that and start fighting for food more, which will end up in some crazy unbalanced feedings. If you have time to, just separate them, and this won't happen.

I've seen this between my two turtles, and I had to force them to work it out on their own because I do not have time in the morning to separate them and be all cutesy-poo about the feedings. They still get a koo-koo over the lettuce though...

On another post a 3 1/2 inch turtle just attacked a smaller turtle and did some major damage. So be aware that even smaller turtles can do damage if they get to fighting.

Think of it this way. Even tiny turtles chase down and eat fish.
