My two turtles have different eyesight. Or should I say one turtle seems to see well and the other sees, but not so well. Is there anyway to help my poor seeing turtle. It is especially obvious she can't see so good becaue when I feed her she misses the food over and over, while the other one gets it right away.
I am going to be making turtle jello shots later. Should I make one heavy on carrots to help with her vision? Thank you for a reponse.

Maybe mini spectacles?
I don't know if carrots would help her vision, though it certainly wouldn't hurt. I think a lot of turtles have poor mouth/hand coordination, especially when they're excited.
Does she seem any better with "smelly" foods, like pellets or fish as opposed to veggies? My thought was if you made the shots smelly with a bit of tuna, she might be able to find them better.

brad-sel - I have one that does the same thing, but I attribute that to being a hog. She is always the first one there and snaps three times for the others one time. If your turtle has poor eyesight check your uvb lighting and make sure it is not too strong. m.

My turtle seems to be doing the same thing . Like it seems like it will take him forever to find food .

Steve -- She seems fine in all other aspects. I hand feed them individually. When I do, she doesn't seem to be able to focus and misses the piece until I pretty much place it in her mouth. I am feeding her bite size frozen jello shots cut into a wedge, so all she needs to do is get a little of the small size and then she gulps it down.
It doesn't seem to be a serious problem, but I was wondering if there is a special recipe jello shot I should make to help her.

Mine too. SHe seems to see the food better under water than on top of it.

My turts differ in their food-snagging abilities, with some simply being better at grabbing it than others. If you're feeding them together, you might feed the one that's slower separately and give him a bit more time to eat.

They are permanently separated (after chompy lost a couple of nails).
Maybe it is not a sight problem and more a coordination problem. She definitely sees. Ita juat that thecurrent goes to the other side of the tank and if she misses the food the bigger little piggie gets more without me knowing.
I am making some batches of jello shots tonight and wondered if carrots would help her eyesight becasue I could make a special vitamin A juiced batch.
Thank you for the reply and all the great advice you give on a constant basis.
