Baskig Help!

So It'll be a week on Tuesday that I got Baxter....He's really getting comfortable in his tank I can tell...He's very active, swims a lot, and is starting to eat...He took some tuna from my hand, and now he's eating pellets!! :)

My only concern is I have yet to see him bask besides 1 time for about 3 minutes....When should I start being concerned? The water temp is about 80 and his basking spot is 92-93F. How do I encourage him to go to his basking spot. It is one of those floating docks that has a ramp in the water for him to climb up, so I know he can do it, and like I said I've seen him up there before.

I'm just concerned about any problems that could occure because he's not getting enough basking time...or any for that matter...

Any advice is greatly appreciated!! Thanks you all!!

Give it some more time before you worry... sometimes it takes them a while to start basking regularly. You could lower the water down to 78 and that might entice him a bit more.

If you've seen him up there once, he may be going up when you're not around. No need to worry yet :)

I took my turtles about 2 weeks before they started basking a lot.
