My turtle, aptly named Turtle, is basking kind of oddly. Its done this before, but now he's doing it more than usual. He likes basking under his light with his head down and eyes closed kind of like a dog sleeping. I've uploaded a picture to go along with the text Can someone confirm that there's nothing wrong with Turtle?

any idea why he does that?

He does that because all turtles like to sleep while they bask. Basking is a very comfortable and enjoyable experience for turtles.

That's normal. It means he's comfortable enough with his surroundings to fall asleep while basking

Oh cool, you should post some pics of it when it's done. I love seeing the docks people make.

Many people double up their rubbermaid tubs to help with the bowing. You may want to try this. I wouldn't want your duct tape to give out (which it probably will in a while) and you end up with water all over the place. *knocking on wood*

Have you considered moving the smaller filter to the opposite side to get better water movement so poo doesn't settle?

yeah i have. it turns out i need a bigger filter so when accumulate the funds for one i'll get rid of the smallestt ones and put filters on opposite sides, though i'm afraid that's not that great for the fish because of the mix matched currents. As with what's on the bottom of the tank it's basically the chunks of the anachris that turtle wouldn't finish

Lol, I'm just teasing you. That was a really good suggestion about doubling up the rubbermaid containers.

It's really not a good idea to double up on storage containers, especially if you intended to have the container more full than not. The containers do not nest exactly inside of one another, but rather there is a space in between the two bottoms. You put water in the interior one, and in time the pressure of the water will cause cracks and leakage. Of course the exterior one will be there to catch the water, but will not be funcioning as intended.

I once tried to support the bottom of the interior one by filling the space between them to prevent leaking, but the container evenually leaked anyway.

A better way of supporting the sides is to either build a simple frame that the container would fit into or drill two holes on each side through which pvc pipe could be inserted across and then capped on the outside of the container.
