orange-red beak

Yesterday, I gave Mats half a baby carrot hung on the veggie-clip. When I came home from work last night, Mats had eaten all of it (which i'm happy cause he's still young), but when I looked at him, his beak was orange-reddish. I waited 'til this morning and it was still that same color. Is it normal for its beak to turn that color after eating a carrot or he irritated his beak with the hardness of the carrot by eating it?

thanks

(sorry if my english sounds strange sometimes)

That's normal. RES often get an orange coloured beak after eating carrots. It will probably fade away after a few days.
