How long can a baby RES turtle be out of water for and how long can it not eat for?

I would make sure no longer than a day without eating and no more than a couple of hours out of water. Though that depends on the age and what's going on...

i just got two baby res and they're about 1.5 inches. i am separating one of them because he has swollen eyes and they both haven't eaten in 5 days...

Make sure he doesn't get chilled in that little container. Can you get something bigger?

Since he's ill, he needs to be kept warm.

koo-too -- I would suggest that you get the water to a constant temp of about 78 to 79 degrees. They do better in warmer temps. Dip some turtle pellets in tuna juice to get them to eat. Good Luck!! m.
