Neglect on 43rd street midtown Manhattan

Hi Everyone,
I work in midtown NYC and there's an activity center on 43rd/5th and 6th that has three RES hatchings in a pathetic aquarium - not meeting any of the basic care requirements - in their center's window that faces the street. (ugh)
I have stopped by twice. First time I gave them your website address and the second time (since they did nothing to improve the conditions) I printed out the basic care instructions from your site for them. The girl I met there seemed very appreciative, but still as of today nothing has been done.
Is there anything we can do? I sent an email to NYC Humane Society but haven't heard back yet.

I'd say keep emailing and try calling the humane society if you can.

The Humane Society got back to me and referred me to Stacy Wolf in the ASPCA's Humane Law Enforcement Dept. They copied Stacy on their reply, but recommend I call her as well.
Voulavous, believe it or not, the organization responsible is the Unification Church, (ironic!)

I would love to rescue these little guys, but our Splat is three years old and I don't know how she will respond to them. I think I've read it's dangerous to introduce new turtles to your pet turtle. It's a shame because she's in a 120g tank so we have the room (while they're still young anyway). Also, I commute on the bus and it's against Greyhound rules to bring on pets. Do you know if there are turtle rescue operations near nyc? I suppose that would be our best bet for them. Obviously this "church" doesn't want to listen.
