okay this is a temporary enclosure, for chicken little, named appropriately for falling from the sky and surviving. it is a wild caught turtle but they are not native to my area, and she has a broken leg. i am guessing it is a girl but may be way too young to tell. she seems happy, but i'm not sure if she is comfortable eating yet. i've been giving her pellets, which are made for ow young she is, and need a little more help getting her 100% comfortable. she opens both eyes and i'm using water conditioner in the water, i've kept reptiles in the past and have two snakes and a lizard. a little advice provided with the pictures, would be wonderful. i know the enclosure is too small but i WILL get a larger one when i have the money or i can find one on craigslist for cheap.

you need a UVB light, a regular incandescent light, asap. Also a filter would be good. read up a little in basic care section. Also, the food for a RES needs to be eaten in the water. you might want to put the food in the water when you feed her. My turtles will grab food and then go into the water but I don't know if your does.

i have the regular light, i'll try and get a UVB light and another lamp. she hasn't eaten much except maybe when we brought her home, and she ate a couple bites of beet greens. she likes basking in the heat. i don't think i've seen her go in the water by her self. she likes basking a lot. not sure if that's bad or good, temp in cage is around, 24c.

How badly broken is her leg, if you don't mind me asking?

From the pic, that looks like a very difficult basking area for a turtle with a broken leg to climb on (and it looks quite abrasive as well).
