Hey Guys i have 2 question about RES
my first Q is this that MY RES when she is in the tank in water i put her food she eats them without problem but when i get close to her( with my finger) she want to bit my finger so she comes with her neck up but the place that she bite is not the place that my finger is...seems like she dosent recognize the distance....and well before she had eyes problem for so long and when she was in a dry place not water and after long time i put her in water she had the same problem but this time even for the food in water...she was biting wrong places....what can it be?
sec Q
is it a MUST to have another turtle in her tank? if she is alone somethinng will happen?
Thanks

Turtles are better alone,i would say its a mistake to get more then 1 turtle in the same tank.

As for the distance thing, mine did that for a while too, they arent use to the perception from water to no water, keep hand feeding it and it will eventually catch it on the first try.

My female has horrible aim when her head is out of the water too. She'll be biting at the air an inch or more away from the food  She's gotten a bit better since I've been hand feeding her a bit, but most of the time when I see her coming up for a bite, I move the food closer so she can actually grab it.
Maybe the time you put her back in the water, she was just excited/a bit freaked out and that's why she missed the food.

Like Sull said, it is much MUCH better to only have ONE turtle in the tank, especially with RES. RES are notoriously aggressive, and can seriously injure each other. Your turtle will be very happy with the tank all to herself :)
