is turtlesource [not reputable].com a reliable site to get turtles from?

Companies like this usually use regional breeders. For example, if you live in California, they'll use a breeder in California, or if you're in New York, they'll use a breeder from New York. The business like this is somewhat of a middleman. Since the turtle's health depends on the conditions from which it came, it's hard to rate the quality of these middle-man dealers.

Spike i'm not sure the information you gave is correct, but all i can say is that i never heard of such a thing about turtlesource [not reputable] or any other online turtle store.

What i can say is that i've heard lots of great reviews about the customer service and quality of the turtles.
Would i ever buy from turtlesource [not reputable]? No chance in hell. The price of their turtles is double to triple the price of other reputable dealers.

That sums it.

well its pretty much the most reliable site of all the others. turtleinc is good too btw

welll wat would you consifer a reputable dealer

When I was in email communication with another turtle retail company, I asked out of curiousity how they had so many turtles of so many species and the conditions in which they were kept. I was told that they use regional breeders the way I described. This could be untrue of other companies, I'm not sure.

I've dealt with jay @ turtlesandtortoises.com and exoticpets from Vegas and they both are top notch dealers with great prices.
I'm a turtle breeder myself, but i only breed diamondback terrapins, and the other species i sell are from my personal collection and they've been in my care for several months if not years before they go.

so turtlesand is a good site?
