To me Tuck looks like he has shell rot and the other one looks like he has an injury. Please help.

No offense to the kid with the videos - but I can't see anything in the videos.

The spot that he worries is shell rot - the video is so dark, and then he shows the spot for like 0.254 second.... as far as the claw - well the video is completely out of focus - I can't see a thing.

I can only respond to the words he said. As far as shell rot goes, if it doesn't stink and it it isn't soft, then those are good signs - but who knows if there is another issue.

The claw sounds like an injury, but again - who knows.

I'd tell him to take them to the vet.

The two turtles should not be together. If Tuck has fungus or something then I think there's a chance it could spread to Squirtle.

Her tank is too small for two turtles of that size and not enough water for the two of them. Also, I couldn't see if there was a proper basking area... that might be the reason for the shell problems.

Do we know what bulbs she has?

She should just really take them both to the vet, asap. A vet could tell her what her setup needs and how to treat both problems. I'm pretty sure they would tell her to separate the two so she should be prepared for that.

It appears to be a hole in the shell. It might not be shell rot, could be an injury or a bacterial infection. A breach in the shell needs to careful examination to determine what going on in there, how deep and then a course of treatment.

I looked up the video and the same person posted another video saying there other turtle got the same thing a few weeks later.
So it's probably some kind of infection not an injury if there other turtle got the same thing.

So far the user has not replied.I will try to inform her again.

I agree with Steve,
If it's not soft and smelly, it's most likely a healed injury.
As far as Squirtle goes, he's a male (long front claws) and who knows why he's nipping at his own foot.
I don't reply to youtube videos cause it's mostly little kids trying to give advice and i hate being replied to with misinformed information. just like the person that told her squirtle is a female.

That was me, and I'm an adult. It's not a very clear video, and to me, they appeared to be short claws.

I deleted the comment, feel free to correctly inform the kid.
