Hi everyone, i have been trying to get rid of this problem for almost 2 years.
After about 1 year of having these two Aquatic turtles, they started forming white spots on their shell, when you take them out of the water, it becomes brighter white, i was thinking they were mineral deposits.

the longest i took them out of the water is about 2 1/2 days under a UVB/MVB light....it improved a little, but still white spots.
also i started giving them cuttle bone.
is there anything else i can do? i also tried Shell Conditioner that costed about $10.00 and didnt see any results......
thank you,

It looks like they need to shed to me.

Forget the shell conditioner (Vitashell?). What kind of light do they bask under (UVB and heat lights? MVB?) and what is the basking area temp. How much do they bask?

Sorry i just saw the post that Spotsmama posted about Shell Problems.
Thanks for the reply though, i think because this tap water is very strong and full of minerals, i dont have any type of water softener or PH changing chemical.

Some of those will come off soon. It's possible that you might a problem with fungus, which is what Spotsmama's topic is about but I can't really tell from that picture.
