Turtle being very willy?

Hello, for the past couple days my turtle Crush has been digging at the ground, scratching the glass and splashing all over. He has stared to scrape his shell.I do not know what is wrong or why he is doing this. any advice would be nice. Thank you.

How big is he? Does he ignore you when he's doing this?

He is about 4 inchs long 2 1/2 to 3 wide. No he stops when i get close.

You're sure he's a he? What's in the tank and how much water is in there? Do both turtles get along?

Yes, he is a boy. about 5 inchs of water a basking rock with a little ramp gravle like tank rocks filter heater and water pump. I only have one.

He could just be scavenging. If you have gravel as a substrate, you should really remove it.
